Our Franchise Practice Group counsels clients from a variety of industry segments in domestic and international franchise matters and licensing and intellectual property issues including regulatory and transactional matters.
Franchise Practice Group services include counseling in and drafting of franchise and development agreements, license agreements and dealership agreements as well as preparation and filing of franchise offering circulars and applications for initial franchise registrations, registration renewals and amendments and exemptions and related state franchise filings on a nationwide basis.
The Group also counsels franchisors on complying with franchise disclosure and registration requirements, enforcement of their agreements and system standards, franchise relationship issues, franchise terminations, transfers and renewals and the modification of existing franchise systems.
The Firm's Franchise Practice Group provides advice and assistance in trademark, copyright and trade secret matters, including trademark and copyright registration, infringement issues and licensing.
Our franchise clients include manufacturers, restaurant chains, real estate brokerage networks, specialty retailers, automotive aftermarket businesses and business-to-business service providers.
We are actively involved in conversion of franchisor registration documents in order to comply with the new Federal Trade Commission standard and regularly counsel clients regarding compliance.
