(Oakland, CA) February 25, 2008 - Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP (FAB), one of Northern California's longest-standing multi-practice law firms, today announced that well-known Oakland attorney, Merrill J. Schwartz, has joined the firm. Mr. Schwartz is a member of the firm's Business & Corporate Transactions, Real Estate and Estates & Trusts Practice Groups.
Mr. Schwartz brings significant experience representing borrowers in real estate acquisitions, dispositions and financings to FAB. Mr. Schwartz represents commercial lessors and lessees in lease transactions involving office space, industrial and warehouse properties, retail stores and shopping centers. His business transactions experience includes formations of corporations, limited liability companies and partnerships, and structuring of business acquisitions and dispositions. Mr. Schwartz joins FAB from Oakland law firm, Stark, Wells, Rahl, Schwartz & Schieffer, LLP, which he co-founded forty-two years ago.
