March 10, 2010, (Oakland, CA) -- Fitzgerald Abbott & Beardsley LLP today announced Daniel B. Newbold has joined the firm as an Associate in its Estates & Trusts and Tax Practice Groups. Previously an attorney with San Jose's Hopkins & Carley, Newbold brings several years of experience in estate and trust administration, probate, tax and succession planning to the firm.

Newbold has successfully represented a range of clients from family-owned businesses to high net worth individuals, utilizing a variety of specialized estate planning vehicles. In addition, he has experience in both probate and trust administration.
Newbold earned an LL.M degree from the University of Washington, his J.D. from Santa Clara University, and a B.S. from Arizona State University.
Mr. Newbold and his wife reside in Berkeley, CA.
