Ms. Clark is a partner and chair of the Real Estate Practice Group. She brings her extensive experience in real estate, land use, banking and commercial transactions for clients ranging from owners of shopping centers, subdivisions, industrial and office projects, residential condominiums and golf clubs, to international banking institutions and hotels. She advises investors, developers and owners on all aspects of their commercial and residential real estate portfolios, including acquisitions, financing, development, construction, leasing, and dispositions. She has served as lender counsel for loans to public utilities, port authorities, universities and shopping centers, as well as for foreclosure actions and workouts. For example, Ms. Clark's clients have included the owners of Kaiser Center, an office and retail complex in Oakland, and Mission Place/The Beacon, a retail and residential condominium project in San Francisco.
Ms. Clark has received commendations for her volunteer work establishing and serving as supervising attorney for the Low Income Eviction Project for Landlords. The Project was featured in Ms. Clark's Entrepreneur Profile in the East Bay Business Times.
Prior to relocating to California, Ms. Clark represented a wide array of international clients while partner and chair of the Real Estate and Banking Practice Group at the U.S. Virgin Islands law firm Dudley, Clark & Chan. While there, she was president of the Virgin Islands Bar Association; and served as a faculty member at the University of the Virgin Islands, where she taught real property law and legal research.
Before deciding to pursue a law career, Ms. Clark served for ten years as chief of staff for the New York City offices of New York State Senator Franz S. Leichter.
